Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on daily routes and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage bus behavior
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt to route changes and weather-related adjustments
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska driver's license (permit acceptable)
- Must pass DOT physical and drug screening
- No DUI/DWI convictions within past 5 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Basic math skills for fare handling and record-keeping
- Pass background check and child safety training
