Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following traffic laws and safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Supervise student behavior during transit ensuring a positive environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident reports
- Assist students with mobility needs including wheelchair lifts
- Adhere to emergency procedures and weather protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children of all ages
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Flexible availability for early morning and afternoon shifts
- No prior experience required – we train!
