Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Maintain a positive and safe environment for all passengers
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, students, and school staff
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Assist students with boarding/exiting and special needs accommodations
Qualifications
- Valid Tennessee driver's license (Class C minimum)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with school bus endorsement
- Physical ability to operate vehicle and assist students
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and dedication to student safety
- High school diploma or equivalent
- No prior driving violations (last 3 years)
