Responsibilities
- Operate dump trucks and heavy hauling equipment to transport materials (soil, rock, gravel, asphalt) to and from construction sites.
- Perform thorough daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and vehicle readiness.
- Safely load and unload materials using winches, forklifts, or manual labor techniques as required.
- Navigate efficiently through Atlanta traffic while adhering strictly to all DOT regulations and traffic laws.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck bed at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and site supervisors regarding delivery schedules and route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in dump truck or heavy haul operations.
- Must possess a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no DUIs or serious violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Physically fit to perform loading duties and lift heavy objects up to 50 lbs.
- Strong knowledge of safety protocols and equipment operation.
