Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
- Follow assigned routes and maintain precise schedules
- Implement student safety protocols during boarding/alighting
- Maintain discipline and positive student interactions
- Complete daily trip logs and incident reports
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
Qualifications
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License (minimum Class C)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain CDL with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children
- Basic mechanical knowledge preferred
- Flexible availability for early morning/afternoon shifts
