Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintain cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Complete incident reports and route documentation accurately
- Participate in ongoing safety and compliance training
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License (Class B with P endorsement preferred)
- Ability to obtain required CDL and school bus authorization
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience, responsibility, and commitment to student safety
- No experience necessary—training provided!
