Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain a safe and orderly bus environment for all students
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete required paperwork and incident reports accurately
- Participate in ongoing safety training and professional development
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License (Class C or higher)
- Acceptable driving record with no major violations
- Ability to obtain Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children of all ages
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or equivalent
