Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Supervise student boarding, exiting, and behavior during transit
- Maintain accurate attendance and route documentation
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Respond to emergency situations following district protocols
- Ensure vehicle cleanliness and minor maintenance checks
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 1 year)
- Ability to obtain CDL Class B with P endorsement (training provided)
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to manage student behavior
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 21 years old
