Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along designated routes to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
- Maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus while enforcing safety rules and assisting passengers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding route changes or delays.
- Complete all required documentation, including daily inspection reports and incident logs.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring they cross safely at intersections.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills and a patient, calm demeanor.
- Flexibility to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to undergo additional safety training.
