As a School Bus Driver, you play a crucial role in the safety and well-being of our community's children. We provide comprehensive paid training for those without a CDL, ensuring you are fully prepared to hit the road with confidence.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along designated routes and to school activities, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment on the bus at all times.
- Monitor student behavior and ensure all passengers remain seated with seatbelts fastened while the bus is in motion.
- Communicate effectively with school administrators and parents regarding student pickup and drop-off procedures.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety concerns immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or the ability to obtain them through our paid training program.
- A clean driving record free of major violations within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient and professional demeanor.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are mandatory.
- Ability to work varying schedules, including early mornings and afternoons.
