Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain accurate student attendance records
- Enforce bus safety protocols and student conduct
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere to strict DOT and state transportation regulations
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with S endorsement
- Minimum 3 years clean driving record
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Patient demeanor with children and adolescents
