Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school activities in a timely manner.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and safe.
- Manage student behavior on the bus, maintaining a safe and orderly atmosphere.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and the driver handbook.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administrators regarding schedules and issues.
- Keep the bus interior clean, sanitized, and organized.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus, especially those with special needs.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (or willingness to obtain through our training program).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations or DUIs.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift luggage or supplies as needed.
