Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along assigned routes and to/from school activities.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during boarding, alighting, and transit.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws, traffic signals, and school district policies.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatchers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs or major moving violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
