Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities along designated routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Enforce safety rules and maintain order on the bus to ensure a secure environment.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and school administration regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Proof of a clean driving record (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Pass a thorough background check, including fingerprinting and criminal history verification.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong customer service skills and the patience to work with children.
- Willingness to work early morning and/or afternoon shifts.
