Responsibilities
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly bus environment.
- Follow all traffic laws and school district transportation policies strictly.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and dispatch regarding delays or incidents.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus when necessary.
- Keep the interior of the bus clean and sanitary at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no major violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to undergo a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong commitment to student safety, punctuality, and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
