Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior.
- Enforce safety rules and discipline students while on the bus.
- Communicate effectively with school staff and parents regarding schedule changes or issues.
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting the bus, including students with special needs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and district transportation policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (P).
- Clean driving record and acceptable motor vehicle report (MVR).
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Physical ability to stand, sit, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to undergo specialized training.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
