Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school activities along designated routes.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, ensuring a pleasant environment for passengers.
- Enforce strict safety rules and regulations on the bus, maintaining discipline and order.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (P).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical exam.
- Prior driving experience is a plus but not required as training is provided.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
- Reliable transportation to and from the depot.
