Your Mission: You will ensure the safe transportation of students to and from school, maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate a school bus safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and district safety policies.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus in a safe and orderly manner, ensuring seatbelts are used where required.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically sound and clean.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or student behavior.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor with students and the community at large.
- Follow strict attendance policies and be available for both morning and afternoon routes.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, drug screen, and physical examination.
- Strong commitment to student safety and excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons.
