Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain discipline and ensure passenger safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district policies
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair lifts available)
- Submit accurate daily mileage and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Passenger & Air Brake endorsements
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (3+ years)
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Background clearance through DOJ/FBI
- Fluent English communication skills
