Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on daily routes and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Enforce student conduct policies and ensure bus safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Maintain accurate attendance and incident documentation
- Adhere to strict traffic laws and school district regulations
- Assist students with special needs during boarding/alighting
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Passenger and School Bus endorsements (training provided)
- Clear driving record (no DUI/DWI in past 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and sit for extended periods
- Experience working with children preferred
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
