Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Implement student safety protocols including loading/unloading procedures
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to student safety and punctuality
