Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes while adhering to traffic laws
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections of buses and maintain maintenance logs
- Manage student behavior with firm yet compassionate guidance
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation supervisors
- Respond to emergencies and ensure student safety at all times
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsement
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience working with children preferred
