Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict schedules
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance compliance
- Supervise student behavior and enforce safety protocols during transit
- Complete accurate daily trip logs and incident reports
- Maintain clean and orderly bus interiors
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to all federal, state, and district transportation regulations
Qualifications
- Valid New York State Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Class B endorsement
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Minimum 1 year of driving experience or willingness to obtain CDL
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage student behavior calmly and professionally
- Must pass background check and driving record review
