Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses following traffic laws and district policies
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior and ensure a positive environment
- Adhere to strict schedules and communicate delays promptly
- Complete incident reports and maintenance documentation
- Assist students with boarding and exiting procedures
- Maintain constant awareness of surroundings and student safety
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or ability to obtain
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and ability to work with children
- Flexible availability for early morning and afternoon shifts
