Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students on designated routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain student discipline and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adhere to strict schedules and traffic regulations
- Prepare daily trip reports and maintain records
- Assist students with boarding/exiting procedures
- Respond to emergency situations appropriately
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license
- Ability to obtain CDL endorsement (training provided)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year driving experience
- Strong communication skills
- Patience with children and special needs students
- Knowledge of Baton Rouge area streets
