Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance checks
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement
- Follow strict safety protocols and traffic laws
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Maintain accurate route and attendance records
- Assist students with boarding and exiting procedures
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Driver (SBD) endorsement or ability to obtain
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clear background check and fingerprinting
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience and compassion for students
