Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes adhering to strict schedules
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Enforce student conduct policies while maintaining a positive atmosphere
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and transportation coordinators
- Adapt routes for field trips, athletic events, and emergency situations
- Maintain accurate student attendance and incident documentation
- Operate specialized equipment for students with mobility needs
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with P/S endorsements
- Minimum 2 years safe driving experience with clean MVR
- Pass DOT physical, background check, and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Strong communication skills and patience with diverse student populations
- Knowledge of El Paso streets and traffic regulations
