Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from schools and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Complete accurate incident and maintenance documentation
- Assist students with mobility needs (wheelchair lifts if applicable)
Qualifications
- Valid Nebraska Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with Passenger & School Bus Endorsements
- Minimum 1 year driving experience (CDL preferred)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and experience working with children/teens
- Flexible availability for morning/evening routes
