Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-related activities on a predetermined route.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and courteous environment on the bus, enforcing school bus safety rules.
- Communicate effectively with school staff, parents, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or student issues.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, particularly those with special needs.
- Keep the bus interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
- Ability to pass a physical examination demonstrating the ability to lift, push, and pull luggage or equipment.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
