Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school activities in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is mechanically safe.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe bus environment for all passengers.
- Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus safely, especially when loading/unloading.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding routes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with School Bus endorsement.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, a positive attitude, and a strong commitment to student safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and occasional afternoons.
