Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Manage student behavior with firm yet compassionate guidance
- Adhere to precise schedules and communicate delays promptly
- Assist students with boarding/disembarking and special needs accommodations
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate route documentation
- Participate in mandatory safety training and drills
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 21 years old with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate bus steps repeatedly
- Strong communication skills in English/Spanish
- Experience with children or vulnerable populations preferred
- Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours
- Background clearance through Texas Education Agency
