Responsibilities
- Operate school buses safely and efficiently on assigned routes and field trips.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during boarding, disembarking, and transit.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, adhering to hygiene and safety regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding routes and student needs.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety protocols strictly.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger endorsement (P).
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs in the past 7 years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Ability to pass a physical examination and meet Department of Transportation (DOT) medical standards.
- Excellent customer service skills and patience when interacting with children and parents.
- Willingness to work early mornings and occasional afternoons/field trips.
