Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain orderly conduct and ensure student safety on the bus
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district transportation policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and transportation coordinators
- Complete accurate incident reports and attendance records
- Assist students with mobility needs as required
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana CDL with School Bus endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Clean driving record and ability to pass background check
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and follow precise schedules
- Patience and ability to manage student behavior professionally
- Physical ability to assist students with mobility needs
