Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school-sponsored activities.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Monitor student behavior and maintain a safe, orderly environment on the bus.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, particularly those with special needs.
- Follow all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations strictly.
- Communicate effectively with parents and school administration regarding student safety.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger endorsement (P) and School Bus (S) endorsement required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong commitment to child safety and customer service.
- Reliable transportation to and from the assigned depot.
