Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement and conflict resolution
- Maintain accurate route logs and attendance records
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatchers
- Adapt routes for field trips, sports events, and emergency situations
- Ensure ADA compliance for students with special transportation needs
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement
- Minimum 2 years driving experience with clean MVR
- Ability to pass DOT physical and background check
- Flexibility to work early mornings (5:30 AM) and afternoons (1:30 PM)
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication and multitasking skills
- Experience working with children preferred
