Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to and from school and school activities on designated routes.
- Ensure the safety of all passengers by maintaining order on the bus and enforcing safety rules during loading and unloading.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and clutter-free bus environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administration, and dispatch regarding any delays or student issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, state regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Excellent driving record with no serious traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact positively and patiently with children.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting.
