Responsibilities
- Safely transport K-12 students to and from school, field trips, and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Implement strict safety protocols during loading/unloading and emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Adhere to strict schedules and route planning
- Document student attendance and incident reports
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger and School Bus endorsements
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 points in past 3 years)
- Minimum 21 years of age with ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Experience working with children or preferred background in education/childcare
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Flexibility to cover varying shifts (mornings, afternoons, field trips)
