Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular events
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain orderly conduct and ensure student safety
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district routing protocols
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and dispatch
- Respond appropriately to emergency situations
- Complete daily maintenance logs and incident reports
Qualifications
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License
- CDL with School Bus endorsement (training provided)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Clean MVR record (no major violations in 5 years)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- First Aid/CPR certification (or obtainable)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate wheelchair lifts
- Excellent communication and patience skills
