Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips using provided equipment
- Conduct daily pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and district safety protocols
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Complete accurate route documentation and incident reports
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment orientation
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class B with Passenger Endorsement
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Florida School Bus Certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist students with mobility needs
- Patience and dedication to student safety and well-being
