Responsibilities
- Safely operate dump trucks to transport loose materials (gravel, dirt, asphalt, etc.) to and from job sites.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts or manual labor as required.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and truck bed at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety protocols to prevent accidents.
- Communicate clearly with dispatch and site supervisors regarding load status and route changes.
- Assist with basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (if you have a CDL, we highly encourage you to apply).
- Willingness to complete on-the-job training and learn the ropes of heavy hauling.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic mechanical aptitude is a plus but not mandatory.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and the ability to work in various weather conditions.
