Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school-related activities in a safe, timely, and courteous manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus environment, ensuring student behavior is managed effectively.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school bus regulations, and safety protocols at all times.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding student status and any route changes.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including those with special needs when required.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Clean driving record with no serious traffic violations or DUIs within the last 7 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check, including fingerprinting and drug screening.
- Physical stamina to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and bending.
- Strong commitment to student safety and excellent customer service skills.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
