Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along assigned routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical and safety compliance.
- Manage student behavior and ensure a safe boarding and exiting process at every stop.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, school district policies, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, including the uniform and bus interior.
- Communicate effectively with parents, school administrators, and dispatch regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements.
- Proof of a satisfactory driving record (MVR) and ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, child-friendly demeanor.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early morning and afternoon hours.
- Willingness to undergo drug screening as per company policy.
