Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain orderly conduct on the bus at all times
- Adhere strictly to assigned routes and schedules
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Follow all state and district safety protocols
- Complete required safety documentation
- Assist students with mobility needs when necessary
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B CDL with passenger/school bus endorsements
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and assist students with mobility
- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
- Child CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work early morning/afternoon shifts
