Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and extracurricular activities
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Enforce student safety protocols and manage bus behavior
- Maintain accurate route documentation and communication logs
- Adhere to traffic laws and district safety policies
- Assist students with mobility needs during boarding/exit
- Participate in monthly safety training sessions
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Pass Department of Transportation physical examination
- Clear background check and fingerprint clearance
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Strong communication skills with parents and staff
- Minimum 2 years driving experience preferred
- First Aid/CPR certification (training provided)
- Fluent English communication required
