Responsibilities
- Safely transport students on designated routes following strict safety protocols
- Conduct daily pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Manage student behavior with firm yet compassionate approach
- Maintain clean and organized bus interior
- Communicate effectively with parents and school staff
- Adapt routes for field trips and extracurricular activities
- Report maintenance issues immediately
- Complete required documentation accurately
Qualifications
- Valid NC Class B CDL with S endorsement (training provided)
- Minimum 3 years driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child safety certification preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally
- No DUI convictions in past 5 years
- High school diploma or equivalent
