Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from school and field trips
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch
- Manage student behavior with positive reinforcement techniques
- Complete accurate incident and maintenance reports
- Adapt routes for weather, traffic, or special events
Qualifications
- Valid Florida Commercial Driver's License (Class B with P/S endorsement)
- Minimum 1 year professional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Child safety certification or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 25 lbs and assist mobility-impaired students
- Fluent English communication skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
