Responsibilities
- Safely transport students to/from schools and designated stops following precise routes and schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections of company-provided buses to ensure mechanical safety
- Maintain a positive, secure environment onboard while enforcing student conduct policies
- Communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding route updates
- Adhere strictly to federal/state transportation regulations and safety protocols
- Complete detailed incident reports and maintenance documentation as required
Qualifications
- Valid Maryland Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements
- Minimum 2 years professional driving experience with clean driving record
- Pass federal background check and DOT physical examination
- First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain through company training)
- Excellent communication skills and patience when working with children
- Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings and occasional weekends
