Responsibilities
- Safely operate district-provided school buses on designated routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle cleanliness
- Maintain strict adherence to traffic laws and safety protocols
- Supervise student boarding/alighting with positive interactions
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate logs
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and parents
- Participate in seasonal route planning and training
Qualifications
- Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- School Bus Endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Minimum 1-year driving experience
- Clear criminal background check
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb bus steps
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Patience and experience working with children
