Responsibilities
- Safely transport students along designated routes to and from school and school-sponsored events.
- Maintain a safe and orderly environment on the bus, managing student behavior effectively.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Communicate clearly with parents, school staff, and dispatch regarding schedule changes or student concerns.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, state regulations, and company safety protocols.
- Keep the bus interior clean, organized, and sanitized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and a drug screening.
- Pass a comprehensive background check.
- Excellent communication skills and the patience to work with children of various ages.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
