Responsibilities
- Transport students to and from school and school activities in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and orderly bus interior, ensuring a pleasant environment for students.
- Follow all traffic laws, school policies, and safety regulations strictly.
- Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, including managing special needs passengers when required.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, parents, and school administration regarding schedule changes.
- Assist in managing student behavior to maintain a safe riding environment.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B with Passenger and School Bus endorsements (or eligibility to obtain them).
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Pass a thorough background check and drug screen.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact positively with children and parents.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
